about

Awesome Possum played their first (and only) paid gig at Skeeter's Lounge in Tacoma on Memorial Day weekend 2002.
Skeeter's did not normally host live bands, it was a karaoke dive bar. The audience that night was mostly the regular crowd, they knew us but had never heard the band.
The guy who taped the show spent the whole time walking around the bar, talking to people. As a result, the sound quality is very inconsistent.
At least 2 other songs were performed but not taped. Flood The Valley and Pink Floyd's Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, which was probably the highlight of the set.
The Ventures guitarist Bob Bogle was sitting at the bar and watched the entire show. He later told us we were good and gave us his number, he wanted me to go to LA with him to record. We never called.
